  • NVQ Level 2 Wood Occupations

    The NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction) Level 2 will develop knowledge and skills in areas such as general health, safety and welfare; productive working practices; and moving, handling and storing resources.

    Learners can specialise in installing first and second fixing components; manufacturing routine architectural joinery; setting out and fabricating timber framework; installing frames and hinges and internal mouldings; erecting timber walls, roofs and floors; setting up and using cutting and shaping machines; or manufacturing routine architectural joinery products.

  • NVQ Level 2 Formwork

    The NVQ Diploma in Formwork (Construction) Level 2 will develop knowledge and skills in areas such as fabricating, erecting, striking and maintaining formwork.


    This qualification covers the following areas:


    • formwork carpentry
    • formwork erecting and striking
  • NVQ Level 2 in Steelfixing Occupations

    This Steelfixing Occupations qualification enables you, the learner, to demonstrate and recognise your skills, knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate your competence in a real workplace environment so you can work inSteelfixing Occupations within the construction industry.

  • NVQ Level 2 Fenestration Installation

    This qualification is aimed at those who work as installers of glass supporting systems, which include window and door units. The standards cover the most important aspects of the job. This qualification is at Level 2, although there may be individual units at other levels, and should be taken by those who are fully trained to deal with routine assignments.


    Candidates for this qualification will primarily be working on customers’ premises and installing windows, doors, conservatories.

  • NVQ Level 2 Painting and Decorating

    This NVQ is designed to assess occupational competence in the workplace. Learners are required to demonstrate their skills, knowledge and experience in painting and decorating. This qualification is suitable for painters.


    This NVQ provides formal recognition of painting.
